Welcome to Westport Primary School
Westport Primary School is located in the Western Adelaide Region. Our school is well-presented with abundant resources and excellent facilities.
All teaching areas have an interactive SMARTBoard, document camera and voice amplification system. We have specialist areas for Music, French, Resource Centre, ICT, Visual Arts and Science plus enclosed outdoor teaching and learning areas with our ‘Living Systems’, ‘Environmental Garden’ and 'Australian Environmental Walk'.
We are one of the inaugural 30 schools accredited nationally, for the ‘Better Buddies’ programme (National Safe Schools Framework and National Coalition Against Bullying). Our ‘Student Voice’ reflects our commitment to model citizenship to students through their involvement in decision-making.
Particular programmes are Accelerated Reader, Student Learning Support, Aboriginal Studies, Ethelton Entertainers performing arts, Environmental Education, school sports, Junior Choir and Senior Choir. Specialist teaching is in Music, Drama and French. Our Student Learning Support programme provides for students identified through Special Education, Aboriginal Students, ESL, NAPLAN, Early Assistance and Early Intervention entitlements.
